Michael Achilleos was born in 1959 in Limassol. He is a graduate engineer, who holds B.Sc, M. Sc and MBA degrees.

He is the Managing Director of Cyta Hellas since 2007 and the Senior Director for Coordination of Subsidiaries, Investments and Strategic Partnerships at Cyta Cyprus.

During his long career, he has served in the Planning Unit of Cyta for 10 years, while he has operated as Director of Access Network Division and Internet Service Division of Cyta and Head of Customer Services in Limassol and Larnaca districts. He possesses extensive experience in organization, customer service and quality management. He was the visionary of the project of the Organization’s certification in accordance with the International Standard ISO 9001:2000 and the architect of the introduction and implementation of the model of European Foundation for Quality Management EFQM, by which the Organization has been awarded with the highest distinction of five stars as "Recognized for Excellence".

In 2004 Mr. Achilleos was awarded by Mr. Demetris Christofias, former Speaker of the House of Representatives of Cyprus and currently President of the Republic of Cyprus, as the Manager with the highest contribution on quality issues in Cyprus.

Michael Achilleos is married to Zeza Achilleos and is the father of 3 children.
