Head of Project Finance Department
Peter Ahlbrecht is heading the Department responsible for Project Finance transactions to be covered under the Export Credit Guarantee Scheme of the Federal Republic of Germany (Exportkreditgarantien).
During his occupational carrier he collected in-depth experiences as an underwriter in several structured finance transactions in many different countries. His specific focus is towards the following sectors: Oil&Gas, Petchem, Power, Renewables, Shipping and large infrastructure projects.
Peter was personally involved in a large number of landmark transactions, such as the BTC-Pipeline, the Euro-Yamal Pipeline Project, Alusmelter Qatalum, thermal power plants in Turkey and Bulgaria, a couple of refinery and Petchem projects in the Middle East, Russia and Turkmenistan. Since 2007 he heads the Project Finance Department.
During the last years his team participated successfully in a several large scale transactions in many different sectors, e,g. On-/ Offshore Windfarms, a Solar Thermal Power plant and the Nordstream Pipeline. The actual underwritten project finance portfolio amounts to 71 projects with an overall value of 11.2 bn Euro.
