Anastasios Kyriazoglou

Dr Anastasios Kyriazoglou is a medical oncologist specializing in the molecular cytogenetics of mesenchymal tumors. He earned his MD from the University of Athens and a PhD from the University of Ioannina. 

He is currently an assistant professor of Medical Oncology at the Oncology Unit of the 2nd Propaedeutic Department of Medicine, Attikon University Hospital, Greece. His clinical experience includes roles as a consultant and locum consultant in oncology, as well as a medical oncologist at leading medical institutions. His research focuses on genetic analyses of mesenchymal tumors, having completed postdoctoral research on endometrial stromal sarcomas at Harvard Medical School. 

Dr Kyriazoglou has served as a sub-investigator in numerous Phase II-IV clinical trials and has been an invited speaker at over 70 medical congresses. His extensive publication record includes research on sarcomas, immunotherapy, and targeted cancer treatments, contributing significantly to oncology literature. His work spans systemic treatment options for rare cancers, next-generation sequencing in head and neck cancer, and the role of tyrosine kinase inhibitors in sarcoma treatment. His contributions have positioned him as a leading researcher in medical oncology, advancing knowledge in cancer genetics and therapeutic innovations.
