Andreas Demetriades is an advocate and economist, ex-investment banker, born in Paphos-Cyprus and studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science of the London University, from where he was awarded the degrees of B.Sc. (Econ.) in Industry and Trade and M.Sc. in Operational Research. He was also awarded a Bachelor of Laws degree LLB by the London University.
Mr Demetriades is the vice-president of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry, chairman of the Association of Large Investment Projects and the chief advocate of the advocates’ firm ANDREAS CHR. DEMETRIADES LLC.
He served as president and vice-president of the Board of Directors of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce & Industry, president of the Public Audit Committee of Pafos 2017, member of the Board of Directors of Cyprus Telecommunications Authority, Cyprus State Fairs, Carrots and Beetroots Board, Euro African Satellite Telecomunications (EAST), Claridge Investments Ltd and other Cypriot and foreign companies and corporations. He represented international reputable organizations and institutions such as the Airbus Defence & Space, CGA of United States, University of New South Wales of Australia, Dornier Consulting (a subsidiary of Daimler Benz) and others.Â
He is married to Pitsa Papadopoulou and has two children, lawyer and academic Giorgos Dimitriadis and lawyer Christiana Dimitriadis.
