Burak Baykan serves as the regional director of Dogus Group overseeing operations in the South Eastern Europe (SEE) region. Born in Istanbul, Turkey, on August 8, 1975, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Politics and International Relations from Boğaziçi University, obtained in 1998. He furthered his education with a Master's degree in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing, from Touro University in Moscow in 2001.
Between 1999 and 2009, Baykan held various executive roles in Russia, including consultancy positions and serving as commercial director at JVT Dynamic Logistics and area manager at Koleksiyon Mobilya. His tenure with Dogus Holding began in December 2007 in Moscow, where he started as an advisor to the CEO. Transitioning to the Investment Department in January 2010, he assumed the role of regional director for Croatia and Montenegro. In this capacity, he was responsible for implementing strategic initiatives and overseeing day-to-day operations in both countries, particularly focusing on nautical tourism and yachting ventures within the group.
From 2018 to the conclusion of 2020, Baykan held the position of CEO at D-Marin, a global marina network under the Dogus Group umbrella. Additionally, he served as a board member for MB92 Barcelona from 2015 to 2019.
Baykan's involvement extends beyond his professional roles. He has been an active member of the Foreign Investors of Croatia (FICC) board since 2017, currently serving as its president. Previously, he held positions such as President of the Turkish–Croatian Business Council (DEIK) and executive board member of the Turkish–Montenegrin Business Council (DEIK).
