Andriani Charpidou

Dr Andriani Charpidou graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras in Greece and completed training in Pulmonology and Bronchoscopy in 2002. Her thesis on Thoracic Oncology was completed with distinction at the Medical School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2010. She had special training in Clinical Trials at the Vienna School of Clinical Research in 2007.

Since then, she has been the chief head of the Clinical Trials Bureau in the 3rd Department of Internal Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School. She served as Secretary of the Lung Cancer Group of the Thoracic Oncology Assembly of the European Respiratory Society from 2020 until 2023 and Chair of the same Group from 2024.

Her special interests are clinical trials in thoracic oncology and translational research in cancer.
