David Harris is currently vice-chair of the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy, adviser to the American Kurdish Committee, and strategic analyst for the Jewish Broadcasting Service. He was referred to by the late Israeli president Shimon Peres as the “foreign minister of the Jewish people”.
David Harris has been honoured nearly 25 times by foreign governments, including Greece and Cyprus, for his international work, making him the most decorated American Jewish organizational leader in US history. He is also the recipient of four honorary doctorates, including from Brandeis University and University of Piraeus. He has written hundreds of articles in leading media outlets. Educated at the University of Pennsylvania and London School of Economics, he was a visiting scholar at Johns Hopkins University and Oxford University.
