Elisabeth Kelan

Elisabeth Kelan is professor of leadership and organisation at King’s Business School, King’s College London, and an internationally recognised scholar on leadership and the future of work. Her research examines how leadership, work, and organisations are being reshaped by technological and societal change. She has explored how shifting expectations across generations are challenging established ideas about careers and organisational life. Her recent work focuses on artificial intelligence and digitalisation, demonstrating that technology is not neutral but actively shapes, and is shaped by, society. Her research contributes to global debates on the future of work at the intersection of technology, inclusion, and organisational change.

She works closely with policymakers and practitioners, advising multinational organisations and international institutions on leadership, change, and digital transformation. Professor Kelan is the author of Patterns of Inclusion: How Gender Matters for Automation, Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Work and Men Stepping Forward: Leading Your Organization on the Path to Inclusion. She is a fellow of the Digital Futures Institute at King’s College London and is affiliated with the King’s Institute for Artificial Intelligence.
