Dr Razis has studied Μedicine in the Honors Program in Medical Education (HPME) at Northwestern University in Chicago. She completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center and Oncology Fellowship at New York Medical College/Westchester County Medical Center. She then received a Ph.D in medicine in Greece.
Currently, she is the director of the 3rd Oncology Department, at HYGEIA Hospital in Athens. In the Spring of 2016, she led her clinic to - the first internationally outside the US - ASCO Quality Certification. In addition, she is on the executive board of BIG (Breast International Group) and the European Association of Neuro-Oncology (EANO), she is a member of the ASCO Quality Group as well as the Breast cancer and Brain tumor groups of the EORTC, in the latter she chairs the Quality Affairs Committee and is a member of the Steering Committee. She is also a member of the Educational Committee of the European Society of Oncology (ESMO) for CNS tumors for the period 2021-25.
She has worked on the WHO Committee on National Cancer Control Plans, work which she has been published in the Lancet Oncology and at the Global Health initiative for the formation of international standards for the treatment of breast cancer, with a ranking proportional to the financial capacity of each country, as defined by the UN.
She has worked as a volunteer in Sri Lanka, Honduras, Zimbabwe, Sudan and Rwanda. Her special interests include breast cancer and neuro-oncology.Â
She is actively involved in a large number of Medical Societies and collaborative groups, has over 120 publications in high impact journals, has presented several posters at international conferences, and has organized international educational seminars in collaboration with ASCO and the European Society of Neuro-Oncology.
