Dr Gaidar Abdikerimov is an international expert in strategic transport corridor development, infrastructure integration, and cross-border logistics across the Eurasian region. He has over 20 years of experience in managing international projects, institutional cooperation, and part-nership development in railway infrastructure.
He graduated with honors from the Kazakh Academy of Transport and Communications named after M. Tynyshpaev in 2005 and completed his postgraduate studies at the Moscow State University of Railway Engineering (MIIT) in 2009. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Insti-tute of Logistics and Transport (FCILT).
Dr. Abdikerimov has contributed to the implementation of the EU’s Global Gateway initiative aimed at strengthening sustainable and integrated transport connectivity between Europe and Central Asia. He has also participated in transport corridor modernization programs sup-ported by the Asian Development Bank, focusing on institutional reforms, capacity enhance-ment, and investment coordination.
He has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating international agreements in passen-ger and freight transportation, developing cross-border cooperation mechanisms, and en-hancing the investment attractiveness of infrastructure projects. He previously led repre-sentative offices of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy across the CIS, Caucasus, and Baltic regions, en-suring strategic partnership development and coordination of major transport and logistics initiatives.
Author of more than 15 scientific publications and co-author of the professional textbook Lo-gistics Management of Freight Transportation and Terminal and Warehouse Activities.
