George Batsakis is professor of international business at Alba Graduate Business School, The American College of Greece. His research examines how organisations navigate international expansion, technological disruption, geopolitical uncertainty, and strategic decision-making in global markets. His scientific work has been published in leading international scholarly journals, including the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of World Business, Global Strategy Journal, British Journal of Management, and Journal of Retailing.
Beyond academia, professor Batsakis actively engages with businesses, policymakers, and international organisations through executive education, applied research, and advisory projects. He has extensive experience working with multinational corporations, SMEs, entrepreneurs, and public-sector stakeholders on issues related to international growth, innovation, and competitiveness. He currently leads and contributes to several international research initiatives, including Horizon Europe-funded projects focused on sustainable business transformation and innovation. His work seeks to bridge academic research and practical policy challenges, with a particular emphasis on the future of business in Europe and the wider global economy. In 2022, he was recognized by Poets & Quants as one of the “Best 40 Under 40 Business School Professors” worldwide.
