Emeritus Professor of Georgraphy and Geopolitics at the Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris 1), Archon Didaskalos of the Genus of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and former Ambassador of Greece to the OECD. Specializes in the Theory of Geography and Geopolitics, in the Geopolitics of Europe, the Balkans and the Eastern Mediterranean, in the Geopolitics of Diasporas, and in Physical Planning.

He regularly writes articles for Kathimerini and other newspapers. His latest books are, in English: Who are we?
