Gregory Beard

Gregory A. Beard is Commercial Manager, LNG, for Noble Energy, based in Nicosia, Cyprus.  In this capacity, Greg is primarily responsible for establishing the commercial arrangements to underpin monetization of Noble Energy’s Cyprus Block 12 natural gas discovery.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree (with high honors) in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, USA, and has 40 years’ worth of industry experience.  Much of his career (~25 years) was spent with ARCO in various commercial assignments in the United States, the United Kingdom, Indonesia and Dubai.  He is particularly experienced in completing the suite of commercial agreements related to natural gas marketing transactions, having completed, among others, significant natural gas sales transactions for ARCO in the UK, the Netherlands, Indonesia and China.

From 2000 to 2009, Greg worked as an independent commercial consultant in various parts of the world, including the initial stages of a new Nigeria-based LNG project.  He joined Pearl Energy Limited (now Mubadala Petroleum) in Singapore in September, 2009, as Regional Manager, Commercial Affairs, where he worked on a variety of upstream oil and gas commercial transactions, and subsequently joined Noble Energy in October, 2011, in his current role.
