Kostis Hatzidakis

Vice-president of the government, Greece

Kostas Hatzidakis is vice-president of the government of Greece, member of the Hellenic Parliament, vice-president of the New Democracy party and vice-president of the European People’s Party.

Previously, he was president of the Youth Organisation of New Democracy (1992-1994), member of the European Parliament (1994-2007), minister in the ministries of Transport (2007-2009), Development (2012-2014), Environment and Energy (2019-2021), Labour and Social Affairs (2021-2023) and Economy and Finance (2023-2025). He is a member of the Hellenic Parliament since 2007.

He was born in Rethymno, Crete, in 1965. He is a lawyer in Athens.
