Mr. Ioannis Maniatis is Chief Officer of Asset Management & Maintenance Division at IPTO, Vice-Chairman at Grid Telecom and Vice-Chairman at DES ADMIE.
Since 2011, he has served as an executive member of IPTO, focusing on ensuring the uninterrupted and safe operation, overseeing maintenance efforts and contributing to the upgrade of the Greek Electricity Transmission System and its international interconnections.
Specifically, in his multifaceted roles within the IPTO group, he serves as the Chief Officer of Asset Management & Maintenance Division at IPTO, overseeing various responsibilities such as asset management, ensuring the efficiency of the System operation, planning, and overseeing the execution of the System maintenance plan, developing the System renovation plan and supervising all necessary actions until the integration of new equipment into the System. Simultaneously, in his role as Vice-Chairman at Grid Telecom, a wholly owned subsidiary of IPTO, he ensures the delivery of high-quality wholesale telecommunication services, contributing significantly to the company's strategic growth and success.
Before joining the IPTO group, he held various managerial positions at PPC from 1992 to 2011. During the 1989-1992 period, he served as lecturer at School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPETE).
He holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering (integrated master’s degree) from the University of Patras and a degree in Teaching from ASPΕTE.
He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) and a member of the Greek National Committee of CIGRE.
