Ioannis Marketos

In 2017, Ioannis Marketos set up MRK Consulting (www.mrk.gr), specializing in the prevention, avoidance and management of violence and harassment in the workplace (aka mobbing), and promoting diversity, inclusion, and equality and social & governance sustainability (ESG). MRK has developed the Due Diligence Mechanisms that a company needs to have in place to manage cases of violence and harassment, and has developed a methodology and techniques that combine actions to address and manage violence and harassment, in line with Corporate Social Responsibility, where MRK specializes in the protection of employees from domestic and gender-based violence, and ESG indicators.

He has developed a methodology to address and manage violence and harassment through a variety of seminars on little-known aspects of business management and empowering women at work.

He holds an MBA in International Business, a BA in Business Administration, Economics and Marketing, and a post-graduate Higher Certificate in Psychological Consulting and Sociology.

He has worked as a senior-level adviser in Greek and multinational companies for more than twenty years. He is also a lecturer in the Postgraduate Diploma (MSc) programme in Environmental Quality & Health and Safety Management at the Democritus University of Thrace and is a columnist at the media outlets skai.gr, ethnos.gr, imerisia.gr and dnews.gr. 

He works now as a confidential counsellor, providing specific services whenever a company or organization wishes to entrust the investigation of violence and harassment or workplace bullying to an independent consultant, and recently authored the workplace manual “Workplace Bullying: Beat it!”
