Ippokratis Korantzis

Medical oncologist

Ippokratis Korantzis was born in Thessaloniki and graduated in 2002 from the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki. After completing his field service, he began his specialty in Medical Oncology, which he completed in 2011 at Papageorgiou General Hospital of Thessaloniki. In the same year, he was declared a Doctor of the AUTH after presenting his Doctoral Thesis on breast cancer.

In 2012, he worked as a clinical fellow at Guy's Hospital in London. During his time in England, he obtained the British certification "Specialty Certificate in Medical Oncology" after exams, as well as the European Oncology Certification (ESMO Examination for Medical Oncologists).

Throughout his scientific career, Dr Korantzis has participated as a principal investigator in numerous phase I, II, III, and IV research studies. In addition, he is an active member of international oncology groups such as ASCO and ESMO. His CV includes publications in national and international journals, and he has participated in many scientific conferences as a speaker, panelist, and member of organizational and scientific committees.

He currently works at St. Luke’s Hospital in Panorama, Thessaloniki, as well as the Interbalkan Medical Center in Thessaloniki. Additionally, he maintains a private practice in the center of Thessaloniki and in Iasis Kozani. Driven by the need for research, he established a Center for Clinical Studies, focusing on the holistic care of oncology patients and ensuring optimal treatment at every stage of the disease.
