Jean-Pierre Goudant

Jean-Pierre Goudant was elected as president of European Boating Industry (EBI) in June 2019. EBI represents the recreational boating industry in Europe and encompasses all related sectors, such as boatbuilding, equipment manufacturing, marinas and service providers. EBI is an established stakeholder at EU level, defending and promoting the interests of its members on key issues ranging from Single Market to blue economy, environmental policy and trade policy.

He has a background working for marine engine manufacturers, including Volvo Penta, Mercury and Cummins, as well as serving on the board of Beneteau Group. He has been engaged in the work of the French nautical industry association FIN for 41 years, having been a board member since 2004 and Vice-President from 2014 until 2018. He has served on the Council of EBI since 2015 and is currently also Vice-President of Nautic Festival SA (organisers of the Paris and Cannes boat shows).
