John Sitilides

Geopolitical strategist, senior fellow for global risks, Center for the National Interest

John Sitilides is principal at Trilogy Advisors LLC in Washington, DC, specialising in geopolitical risk, international security, and federal government affairs, and is senior fellow for global risks at the Centre for the National Interest.

He is a professional speaker at corporate, investor, and industry conferences, and before government, military, and intelligence community audiences, on geopolitical and geo-economic risk management and the business impacts of national security policies.

From 2006 to 2023 he was a US Department of State diplomacy consultant under presidents Biden, Trump, Obama, and Bush, managing professional development of ambassadors and senior diplomats at the Foreign Service Institute, the diplomacy academy for American foreign policy professionals.

He launched his career in the US Senate, founded and directed two international relations institutes, has testified before Congress, is a frequent national security commentator in US and international media such as Bloomberg News, FOX News, and CNN, and been cited in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Washington Times, Politico, Asia Times, National Public Radio, and other leading print and digital media.

He holds a Master’s Degree in International and Public Affairs from Columbia University, specialising in international security policy and Western European affairs.
