He is elected President of the Board of Directors of the Panhellenic Confederation of Unions of Agricultural Cooperatives (PASEGES) since 2000.
Born in 1950, at Filisi of Laconia, he has grown up in a farming community. He has been engaged with the agricultural profession just after completing his military obligations.
He has served, over several decades, in many elected positions within the agricultural and cooperative movement. His previous appointments include General Secretary of the Agricultural Society of Scala, Director and Vice President of General Confederation of Greek Agrarian Association, General Secretary, Treasurer and First Vice President of the Board of PASEGES.
Previously, he served as Board Member of the Athens Central Market Organization for many years, as member of the Board of Fund Street Markets and as prefectural advisor in Laconia, specialized in popular education issues. He has also worked as a consultant in popular culture.
He has been the Chairman of the Disciplinary Board of PASEGES. Also, he was the chairman of all committees of PASEGES and the Ministry of Agriculture related with the law governing the agricultural cooperatives.
In addition to his role, he is a board member of the Agricultural Insurance Organization (OGA), the Agricultural Bank of Greece (ATE) and the Economic and Social Committee of Greece.
