Nadia Giannakopoulou

MP

Nadia Giannakopoulou was born in Athens in 1977. She graduated from the Law School (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and holds an LLM in Commercial Law (University of Bristol) and an MSC in European Politics and Policy (LSE).

She has been working as a lawyer since 2003. In 2009, she was elected MP for the constituency of Messinia with the Greek Socialist Party (PASOK) for the first time and was re-elected in the May 2012 elections. She served as Secretary General for the Environment and Climate Change from August 2013 to December 2014 and as National Spokesperson of the Greek Socialist Party KINIMA ALLAGIS (PASOK) from 2015 to 2019. In July 2019 she was elected MP for the B2 Constituency of Athens (Western Section) with KINIMA ALLAGIS, and she is the Head of the Justice Sector. She was the Head of the Justice Sector. In the May 2023 elections, she was reelected with PASOK-KINIMA ALLAGIS and she is the Head of the Citizen Protection Sector.

She is married with Maximos Moumouris, actor, and has three daughters.
