Kyriakos Kyriakou

Kyriakos Kyriakou, founder and Managing Director for K.K. The First Insurance Brokers Ltd, finished his studies at the University of Cologne, majoring in Diplom-Kaufmann (Master of Business Administration), specialising in Banking and Insurance. His career began in the early 80’s as an Insurance Agent in Universa Versicherungen in Germany and shortly after as Sales Group Manager.

In 1989, Kyriakos returned to Cyprus and worked Sales Support Manager for Interamerican Insurance Co. In 1994, he founded Liberty Life Insurance Ltd, where he held the positions of Deputy General Manager and Sales Manager. Following his need of seeking new challenges, in 2002, he transitioned to Minerva Insurance Company Public Ltd, where he served as Deputy General Manager.

His excellent reputation and his first-class experience led him to achieve different memberships to various boards and committees such as the Directors of Cyprus Professional Indemnity Pool for Insurance Intermediary, Advisory Council of the University of Nicosia, as well as, the Advisory Committee of the Association of Insurance Companies regarding the implementation of Euro. Since August 2011, he has been appointed as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Electricity Authority Cyprus (EAC).

In late 2008, Kyriakos established K.K The First Insurance Brokers Ltd, one of the few Insurance Broker offices operating in Cyprus today. Furthermore, since 2010 Kyriakos was appointed as Director to Aries Marine Insurance Brokers Ltd and since early 2013 to Zaris Insurance Brokers Ltd.
