Lampros Papakonstantinou

Chairman, IDEAL Holdings

Lampros Papakonstantinou is the chairman of the board of directors of IDEAL

Holdings and has more than 30 years of business and management experience.

In 1996 he founded the financial group P&K (P&K Securities, P&K Asset Management, P&K Finance). In the decade 1996-2007 P&K developed into the largest non-bank investment group in Greece and in 2007 it was acquired by National Bank of Greece.

Between 2007–2016 he was:

General manager, investment banking, National Bank of Grece (2007-2011)

Chairman of the board, National Securities (2007-2011)

Chairman of the board, Finans Yatirim (2007-2011)

Chairman of the board, Virtus Equity Partners (2011-2014)

Deputy CEO, Geniki Bank (2014–2015)

General manager, investment banking, Piraeus Bank (2015-2016).

In 2017 he founded Virtus South European Fund (VSEF), the first international investment vehicle to invest private capital exclusively in Greek companies, and which in 2021 invested and acquired IDEAL Holdings.

IDEAL Holdings currently owns Attica Department Stores, Barba Stathis Frozen Food, and Byte Group of Companies, employing more than 3,400 people.

He holds an MBA from INSEAD and MSc in Chemical Engineering from the National

Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He speaks fluently English and French and comfortable Italian.
