Laurent Louette

Director public affairs and country liaison

Laurent is director public affairs and country liaison at Vaccines Europe, the association representing vaccines developers in Europe. In his role, he coordinates the Public Affairs activities of Vaccines Europe, advocating for stronger immunisation policies at the EU and national level, engaging with decision-makers representing the voice of the vaccines industry. In addition, Laurent leads the coordination with the national trade associations members of Vaccines Europe, ensuring solid coherence between the country and EU levels policies, and working with members to develop strong national immunisation policies.

Laurent has been working for 15 years in European public affairs and advocacy, gaining expertise in EU legislative process and in the various stakeholders at the European and national level.

Before joining Vaccines Europe, Laurent worked for various patient groups, trade associations and disease-specific groups, focusing on cardiovascular diseases, gene and cell therapies, medical devices, and prevention policies. 

A Belgian citizen, father of two boys, Laurent holds degrees in journalism and European Affairs and enjoys the European environment Brussels has to offer.
