Marcel Cobuz

Chair of the group executive committee, executive director, TITAN Group

Marcel Cobuz has been chief executive of TITAN since 2022 and is also chair of the board of Titan America (NYSE, IPO 2025). He leads an international construction materials group with a history spanning more than 120 years. TITAN is listed on Euronext Brussels and Athens, serves customers in more than 25 markets across four continents, and is the largest supplier of building and infrastructure materials in Southeast Europe — with operations across Greece, as well as Bulgaria, Albania, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Serbia and Türkiye — alongside leading positions on the East Coast of the United States.

A French national, born in Romania and now based in Athens, he began his career helping to build the Bucharest Stock Exchange and has since developed a 25-year career as an industrialist across multiple geographies and sectors. Prior to joining TITAN, he served as head of the Europe region at LafargeHolcim. An alumnus of the University of Bucharest and Harvard Business School, he also serves on the Board of the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) and is a member of the Honorary Committee of the DDD Southeast Europe Foundation. 

Under his leadership, TITAN launched Forward 2029 Growth Strategy and is developing IFESTOS at its plant near Athens— one of Europe’s largest cement carbon capture projects, supported by EU Innovation Fund. TITAN has been named by TIME among the World’s Most Sustainable Companies and by the Financial Times among Europe’s Climate Leaders for two consecutive years. In 2026, Harvard Business Review and Citi Research also cited TITAN as one of the most advanced adopters of AI in the global industry.
