Marija Vučković

Marija Vučković, the minister of environmental protection and green transition of the Republic of Croatia, is an economist with 20 years of experience in the field of local and regional development, as well as in the implementation and management of EU funds.

Having graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb, with a degree in Business Economics, she then obtained her Master of Science degree in the field of macroeconomics. She worked as assistant minister in the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds. In 2016, she transitioned to the role of state secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and was thereafter appointed minister of agriculture, a position she held until 2024.
