Marko Blagojevic

Marko Blagojević has been ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Cyprus since July 2017.

Previously, he served in the National Assembly of Serbia from 2016-17 as a member of the Serbian Progressive Party parliamentary group. During his time in parliament, he was a member of the Parliamentary committees on foreign affairs, defense and internal affairs, and European integration,; a substitute member of the committee on Kosovo-Metohija; and the member of the Parliamentary friendship groups with China, Cyprus, India, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. He was also a deputy member of Serbia`s delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, where he sat with the European People`s Party group.

In his diplomatic career, he served as special adviser of the minister of foreign affairs from 2012-14, and also as secretary-general in 2014. He was a member of the national delegation at the regular session of the General Assembly of UN in 2013 in New York and also a member of the national delegation at the African Union Summit in Addis Abeba in 2014.

Blagojević was born in Belgrade in 1976. He is married with three children. He graduated from the Faculty of the Political Sciences, Belgrade University and also from the Faculty for management of small and medium companies in Belgrade. He holds a specialization on religion political science and is finishing his Master Academic studies on political science-environmental policy.
