Michael Stassinopoulos

Chair, Viohalco, president, “Hellenic Production–Industry Roundtable for Growth”

Michael Stassinopoulos is chairman of the board of directors of Viohalco S.A., a holding company of leading metal processing companies, with production facilities in Greece and several other countries in Europe (e.g Bulgaria, Romania, North Macedonia, United Kingdom).

Belonging to the 4th generation in Viohalco’s history, Michael Stassinopoulos was brought up in the industrial world and was involved in the metal processing business since his academic years. He holds a Bachelor Degree (BSc) in Management Sciences and a postgraduate diploma (MSc) in Shipping, Trade and Finance. 

Michael Stassinopoulos is also highly involved in strategic decisions and investments in technological advancement, research and innovation focusing on the group’s adaptation to the transformational challenge while better exploiting the opportunities that it brings. 

Highly committed to raising public awareness on the contribution of industry to the economy, Michael Stassinopoulos was among the initiators of the establishment in 2017 of the civil non-profit organisation Hellenic Production-Industry Roundtable for Growth of which he is currently the president of the board of directors. He is also member of the board of the Council on Competitiveness of Greece (COMPETE.GR) and a member of the board of the Foundation Michail N. Stassinopoulos-Viohalco. Since 1996 and for several years up to 2019 he was member of the board of directors of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV).
