Oana-Silvia Țoiu

Oana-Silvia Țoiu has served as Romania’s minister of foreign affairs since June 2025. A member of Parliament since 2020 and vice-president of the Save Romania Union (USR – Renew Europe), she brings extensive expertise in parliamentary diplomacy, international cooperation, and public policy. She previously held leadership roles including vice-president of the Chamber of Deputies and chair of the Committee on Labour and Social Protection and secretary of state in the Ministry of Labour.

Before entering politics, Oana Țoiu was a social entrepreneur and innovator, actively engaged in international networks such as the Open European Dialogue, the Global Young MP Initiative, and the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers. She is also a fellow or alumna of prestigious programmes including the Harvard Kennedy School’s Implementing Public Policy, Friends of Europe, and the German Marshall Fund.

She holds a degree in journalism and communication studies from the University of Bucharest and has completed executive education programmes at the Harvard Kennedy School, the Aspen Institute, and the German Marshall Fund. As foreign minister, she advocates for a forward-looking diplomacy grounded in a united Europe and multilateral cooperation rooted in international law, democracy, and sustainable development.
