Dr Sotiris Bantas has a PhD in microelectronics (2004) and a diploma in electrical engineering (1995), both from the National Technical University of Athens.
He is a technologist and entrepreneur with 20 years of professional experience. He is currently the founder and CEO of Centaur Analytics, the leading provider of full-stack Internet-of-Things solutions for quality and abundance of agricultural products.
From 2000 to 2014 as co-founder and CTO of Helic, an EDA software innovator, he spearheaded the development of IP for wireless silicon ICs that powered the smartphone boom. Helic raised investments from Silicon Valley strategics and angel investors, as well as from Fujitsu Corp. of Japan. From 1995 to 1999 he was a research engineer with the Institute of Communications and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the National Technical University of Athens.
Sotiris holds 4 US patents, including 2 in machine learning CAD methods.
