Sotiris Vandoros

Sotiris Vandoros is professor of health economics at University College London (UCL), where he serves as lead of the Health Economics, Finance and Operations Research Cluster. He is also adjunct professor at Harvard University. 

He has served as director of the UCL Executive MBA Health programme, and was previously associate dean for Doctoral Studies and associate professor at King's College London. He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

His research focuses on the impact of economic conditions, shocks and uncertainty on health and health-related behaviours; the evaluation of policies and interventions; the 4-day work week; and pricing, regulation, competition and innovation in pharmaceutical markets.

His research is interdisciplinary and has been published in leading journals across several fields. Findings from his work have featured in global media and informed policy reports. 

He is co-editor of Globalization and Health and serves on the editorial boards of SSM-Population Health and Health Policy. 

Professor Vandoros has worked on projects for national and international organisations such as the World Health Organisation, the NHS, the European Commission and the European Parliament. 

He has taught at UCL, Harvard, King’s College London, LSE, Brunel, Sorbonne-Cité and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
