Stefanos Agiasoglou

Chief executive

Stefanos Agiasoglou has earned an MBA in strategic planning from Aston University Business School, UK and is a graduate of Wolverhampton University, where he received a bachelor’s degree with Honours in economics with specialisation in business analysis. He has held many managerial positions over the years bringing with him over 35 years of experience in both private and public sector - including ministries. At present and for the last four years he is the chief executive of OSY SA the urban public transport company for the region of Attica in Greece. 

OSY SA has more than 5000 employees and managing and operating more than 1,500 buses in more than 200 routes around the region. He was the former president of the board of directors and chief executive of the Hellenic Company for Rolling Stock Maintenance S.A. (E.E.S.S.T.Y. S.A.) during the period 2013-16. During his four-year tenure at E.E.S.S.T.Y. S.A. he was responsible for driving the vision for the company’s privatisation, together with that of the Hellenic Railway System. Earlier he had served as a managing director/general manager at the School Building Organization S.A. (OSK A.E.) for six years where via his management the planning of the first PPP project – the construction of 24 school units in the Attica Region – and the implementation of a joint 6- year school unit construction project with the European Investment Bank were achieved.

He has more than 15 years of experience in key senior leadership positions. He was also an experienced business advisor with an impressive background in managing and consulting enterprises as well as universities in UK and USA.
