1969-1975: Medical studies at the Aristotle University Thessaloniki (AUTH)/Greece.
1975-1981: Specialization in OB/GYN, Medical School, Univ. of Aachen/Germany.
1982-2019: Lecturer / Assist. Prof. / Assoc. Prof. / Professor in OB/GYN at AUTH/Greece. 
1989: Sabbatical leave, Research in Gyn. Oncology, Aachen(D) /Graz (A) /Stockholm (S)
2009: Director of the IV. Univ. OB/GYN Clinic, AUTH, Thessaloniki/GR. 2019: Retirement.

Main research work: Gynecologic Oncology, in particular cervical and endometrial cancer, HPV-related diseases, clinical and molecular epidemiology of HPV infection, cervical cancer screening. About 100 original papers in international journals, 3 books, 8 book editions, 27 chapters in books, ~350 presentations, lectures and chairs in >100 Congresses and Meetings, 18 partnerships in European or Hellenic Research Programmes. 

Research Grants: from The German Academic Exchange Service (D), The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (D), The Volkswagen Foundation (D), The Bodossakis Foundations (GR, 3x) and The Papageorgiou Foundation (GR).
