Yiannis Karouzos has been a lawyer since 1993, currently at the Supreme Court. He is a graduate of the Athens Law School and a Master of Laws of the School of Labor and Trade Union Law of the Law School of the University of Trieste in Italy, specializing in Labor Law, Labor Relations, European Labor Law, Law Social Security, from which he graduated with honors. He has specialized professionally handling hundreds of cases related to: Greek Labor Law, European & International Labor Law, Labor Relations, Social Security Law, Civil Servant Law, Criminal Law (Labor & Civil Servant Crimes), Administrative Law (Civil Servant Benefits & Allowances).
He has many years of experience advising dozens of Trade Unions and Companies on labor matters. He was an adviser to three Ministries of the Hellenic Republic and was for years an active member of the Supreme Labor Council. He is a member of the Hellenic Society of Labor Law and Social Security. He is a mediator, member of the Body of Mediators of the Arbitration Mediation Organization (OMED). He is the president of the Committee - Observatory for European good practices in the field of labor relations and the strengthening of the right to work. He publishes articles and studies in labor law and industrial relations legal journals, newspapers, electronic media and websites.
