EUROPEAN SPORTS INTEGRITY SUMMIT

February 9th 2024 | Virtual event

Shielding the true spirit of sports in ambiguous times

With the Lisbon Treaty, the European Union has been promoting fairness and openness in sporting competitions and cooperation between bodies responsible for sports by protecting the physical and moral integrity of sportsmen and sportswomen.

The main objective is to attain greater fairness and openness in sporting competitions and greater protection of the moral and physical integrity of sportspeople, while helping overcome wider societal issues such as racism, social exclusion, and gender inequality.

Within this context, the Economist Impact is organising the European Sports Integrity Summit entitled “Shielding the true spirit of sports in ambiguous times” on February 9th 2024.

The summit, that will be taking place just a few months before the summer 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, shall bring together key stakeholders and prominent representatives of major sports organisations and business leaders from Europe to share good practices in areas of their expertise such as anti-doping, e-games, safeguarding, sports sustainability and betting.

Under the auspices of                            Strategic partner
